Located in Sharm El Sheikh, the International Congress Center hosted COP27, welcoming heads of state, international delegations and global institutions for one of the most significant diplomatic summits in the world.
For this prestigious commission, FORMITALIA Group designed and manufactured a complete bespoke furniture solution, developing custom conference tables and seating systems specifically conceived for the scale, functionality and protocol requirements of the venue.
Every element was engineered to combine institutional elegance with exceptional comfort, supporting extended diplomatic sessions while integrating seamlessly with the architectural language of the Congress Center. The bespoke armchairs feature refined upholstery, tailored detailing and carefully engineered proportions, while the conference tables were developed to incorporate technology discreetly within a clean and timeless design.
The project also reflects FORMITALIA Group's commitment to responsible manufacturing. Particular attention was dedicated to the selection of durable materials, efficient production processes and long-lasting construction solutions, ensuring that quality, longevity and environmental awareness became integral parts of the design approach.
During COP27, the interiors designed by FORMITALIA Group became the setting for meetings between some of the world's most influential political leaders. Figures including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak were photographed within the spaces furnished with the bespoke seating created for the project, highlighting the role of Italian craftsmanship within an international institutional context.
The International Congress Center – COP27 represents another important milestone in FORMITALIA Group's contract division, demonstrating the company's ability to deliver complex bespoke projects where architecture, functionality and Italian manufacturing excellence come together on the global stage.
