The world premiere of DC Studios' Superman became the stage for an exclusive collaboration between FORMITALIA Group, Warner Bros. Pictures and the film's production designer Beth Mickle, bringing Italian craftsmanship to one of Hollywood's most anticipated cinematic events.
Created specifically for the occasion, the installation featured an immersive lounge where cinema, design and storytelling came together through two exclusive pieces developed for the visual universe of the film. At the heart of the project stood the Luthor Chair, designed by Stellantis Design Studio, a sculptural armchair inspired by the presence, intelligence and commanding character of Lex Luthor. Alongside it, FORMITALIA Design Studio created a bespoke sofa inspired by the crystalline architecture of Superman's Fortress of Solitude, translating one of the film's most iconic settings into a contemporary interior language.
The two pieces became the focal point of a dedicated portrait lounge, welcoming guests throughout the evening in a setting conceived to celebrate both the film and the craftsmanship behind its design collaborations. The installation offered an immersive experience where visitors could engage with the furniture while creating a lasting memory of the premiere.
This collaboration further reinforces FORMITALIA Group's longstanding relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, demonstrating the company's ability to transform iconic stories into collectible design through collaborations with internationally recognised creative partners. From the world of Superman to luxury interiors, every project reflects the same commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and timeless Italian design.
With the Luthor Chair by Stellantis Design Studio and the bespoke Superman sofa by FORMITALIA Design Studio, the Hollywood premiere became another milestone in the Group's journey, where furniture extends beyond interiors to become part of the visual language of cinema itself.
